The answer is NO. Only the captain of the team (The Login credentials of the first person used at the time of registration) should be used to play the game. The Preliminary round is based on a ONE PERSON-ONE TIME LOGIN format.
Only participant 1 of the team will use his/her own login credentials a single time to play. Double login or multiple login attempts will automatically lead to disqualification.
Teams can play the Quiz only ONE TIME. In case any team tries multiple logins, they will be automatically disqualified.
Should this happen for any technical reason, such teams will not be able to have a second attempt to play. They will be scored till their last attempted question before getting logged out.
Teams may get logged out for a variety of tech. related reasons viz. unstable internet network, bandwidth issues, system configuration, system getting hung, outdated browser or teams trying multiple logins attempts from different devices at the.
All teams are advised to run a pre-check about all such eventualities and are advised to play with a stable network connection on an updated browser (Chrome or similar).
IMPORTANT:Organisers are not responsible in any manner whatsoever for any such technical issues/ fault and any request for a second Login attempt will not be entertained under any circumstances.
Yes, mock quiz is just to give students a feel of the actual quiz. The mock Quiz has no bearing on the actual Preliminary round.
Medha, as always is a general Quiz, which means questions will be based on a variety of general knowledge-based subjects viz. current affairs, personalities, sports, entertainment, history, geography, India, Science etc.
Multiple choice questions. Correct answer can be selected with the click of a mouse.
Each team will get a 35-question set which they need to answer in a maximum time of 20 minutes or lesser.
No, questions are randomised for different teams hence are likely to be different.
There is no negative marking and teams cannot skip any questions. Teams need to attempt all 35 questions.
There is no guarantee of qualifying to the next round even if a team gets full marks. Ranking is based on scores and the least amount of time taken to achieve that score. Timing is calculated in milliseconds. Hence the faster a team submits most correct answers better will be their chance of qualification.
For Eg: if TWO teams both score 35 marks but team 1 gets 35 in 10 minutes and team 2 gets 35 marks in 10 minutes and 5 seconds then team 1 having a better time will qualify.
In such case the team will get automatically logged out after 20 minutes is exhausted. They will be scored on the number of correct answers given till the last question attempted before getting logged out.
NTPC Medha is divided into five regions viz. Western, Southern, Eastern, Northern and Corporate centre. Refer to the “Quiz Format” page for details.
